Title: An instructive Example for Pitfalls in Simulation of Logistic Networks
Authors: Markus Arns, Falko Bause
ABSTRACT
This paper describes in detail a simple model of a terminal in freight villages and discusses corresponding simulation results. The example is instructive, since it presents the typical operation of a logistic node and shows that an ergodic model might become non-ergodic if service demands are reduced, contradicting, e.g., the usual experiences from queueing theory.
