Workshop Modelling of Large Logistics Networks (April 1, Dortmund)

Control of modern logistics networks often requires a model-based investigation and a quantitative evaluation frequently applies computer-aided methods, which are also used in a similar form for the evaluation of computer and communication systems. It is therefore obvious to establish a stronger cooperation between experts of logistics and computer systems evaluation. This workshop should afford an opportunity for that purpose. The workshop is co-organized by the Collaborative Research Center 559 (CRC 559).

Submissions

Contributions reporting on research results of the Modelling and Evaluation of Logistics Networks are solicited. Topics of the workshop include:
  • Modelling and Simulation
  • Methods for the Performance and Reliability Evaluation of Logistics Networks
  • Model Based Optimization of Logistics Networks
  • Applications covering all aspects from the domain of Logistics
  • Modelling and Analysis Tools
Articles and presentations in English and in German are possible. Please submit articles in PDF format to the workshop chair (logistik[at]mmb2008.de).
Submitted papers should not exceed 15 double-spaced pages. Papers must be unpublished and must not be submitted for publication elsewhere. All papers will be thoroughly reviewed by referees on the basis of their originality and their scientific and practical contribution to the state-of-the-art. Accepted papers will appear in a technical report.
